The oldest house (Grande Casa) was constructed to be the residence of an italian commander back in 1938, since the Kolymbia village was built to inhabit the Italian army back in the days (villagio rurale San Benedetto). Nowadays, Atmatzidis family owns and runs the place for 2 generations.
